Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions outline the agreement and contractual relationship between the Provider of a Service and its User. It is only with the complete understanding and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions that your Service will take place.  When you (User) book a Service (as described on the sales page at the date of your purchase) through The Spirit of Therapy or Georgia King (Provider), you are agreeing to these Terms and Conditions and give Consent to participate in the Service. As these Terms and Conditions are binding, do not use the Services if you do not accept the Terms.

The Provider respects and honors all clients (Users), and shall not practice or facilitate any form of discrimination on the basis of race, sex, sexual orientation, gender, age, religion, socioeconomic status, medical diagnoses, or national origin.

Personal Information is collected for the primary purpose of providing Services to you. When purchasing or enquiring about a Service, you will be asked to provide relevant information including, without limitation, your name, contact information, and choice of Service. If you complete a contact form, you may also choose to provide more detailed personal information. During a Service, the client can choose to provide consent for the Provider to take brief notes to be used in follow-up Services. The Provider respects the privacy of all clients (Users), and will protect and keep confidential all client information unless consent to release is given by the client or required by law.

All Services are only offered remotely, through an online platform (Zoom) or by telephone. Services may not be recorded without prior consent from both the Provider and User.

By booking a Service directly through the website, a User confirms they are 18 years of age or over. Services are not offered to anyone under 18 years of age without signed consent from a parent or guardian. Before booking any services for a minor, you must first contact the Provider by email to discuss what Services, if any, are appropriate and submit parental consent.

Payment for any Service is due in full at the time of booking. Clients (Users) are able to reschedule or cancel a Service up to 48 hours from their scheduled appointment time. Services that are cancelled before 48 hours of the appointment time will receive a full refund, minus any transaction charges. Changes must be made directly through the Acuity Scheduling link provided in the confirmation email. Sending email or Contact Form requests to reschedule or cancel an appointment does not guarantee your appointment has been changed or that a refund is due.

The Provider reserves the right to decline to provide Services which violate personal or professional ethics. The Provider reserves the right to cancel any Service at any time and for any reason. If a Service is cancelled by the Provider, the User will receive a full refund for the cancelled Service unless the User has engaged in unacceptable conduct or violated Terms and Conditions outlined in this agreement. Unacceptable conduct includes any type of harm (to self or others), harassment, nudity, threats, bullying, advertising, uploading viruses, or tampering with remote platforms used to deliver Services.

Under no circumstances shall the Provider or their affiliates be liable for damages or losses arising out of a User’s access, use, misuse, or inability to access Services. Because the laws of some jurisdictions may not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, losses, or liability, in such cases exclusions and limitations will apply to the greatest extent consistent with applicable law. Any claim against the Provider must be limited to the amount paid by the User, if any, for use of the Services. Any decisions made, or actions taken by a User as a result of the Service is the User’s sole responsibility and has not been forced upon them. The Provider assumes no legal liability for any damages, losses, or other consequences of any User’s decisions, subsequent to, or based on, the Service.

The Provider offers three distinct Services for clients (Users): Life Coaching, Mentoring, and Traditional Therapy.

  • By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, Users acknowledge that any Service from the Provider is not intended as a substitute for opinion, advice, or services provided by licensed medical, legal, business, financial, health care, or other professional. Whenever applicable, the Provider recommends Users seek help and guidance from a licensed professional.

  • All Traditional Therapy Services shall be provided within the guidelines of NCAC Practice and Conduct and be in compliance with federal, State, or local laws impacting the practice of social work. Social workers who provide supervision or consultation (whether in-person or remotely) should have the necessary knowledge and skill to supervise or consult appropriately and should do so only within their areas of knowledge and competence. As a NC licensed LCSW, the Provider shall practice only in accordance with their training and experience.

  • Coaching and Mentoring Services are not intended to replace or substitute traditional therapy in the diagnosis and treatment of a mental illness. Coaching and Mentoring Services offered by the Provider DO NOT diagnose or treat mental illness. Therefore, no state license is required for these services. By booking these Services, Users acknowledge the Provider will be a Coach or Mentor, not a therapist or LCSW.

  • Coaching and Mentoring Services do not include solving crimes, picking lottery numbers, locating lost items or persons, predicting births or deaths, predicting exact dates of events, reading about past lives, reading about pregnancy, diagnosing illnesses or finding cures for illnesses, reading about possible demon possessions, questions related to dark energies or dark magic, or reading about persons younger than 18 years old unless you are a parent or legal guardian of the person in question.

  • Intuitive readings or any other spiritual guidance provided in Coaching and Mentoring Services are subject to interpretation and should not be taken as absolute. These approaches bring forth additional insight and are used for entertainment purposes only. No guarantee is given as to the accuracy of these Services.

The Provider reserves the right to make changes to the Terms and Conditions from time to time. Users will be notified if changes affect them, but it is the User’s responsibility to check the Terms and Conditions regularly for any changes.
